Underground Conduit Installation

Burying conduits for gas, propane, electrical, or communication systems like telephone, cable, or fiber optic through underground construction provides several advantages over above-ground installations.

Key benefits for burying conduit

  • Underground conduits are protected from harsh weather conditions such as wind, rain, snow, and ice, which can damage or degrade above-ground systems.
  • They are less affected by temperature extremes, reducing the risk of thermal expansion and contraction that can cause wear and tear on the cables.
  • Buried conduits lower the risk of people and animals getting electrocuted, as the cables are not exposed.
  • They are less likely to catch fire due to external sources, keeping your infrastructure safe.
  • Burying your cabling frees up space by avoiding the use of poles or overhead lines, which also results in a more aesthetically appealing property.
  • Your infrastructure is more secure and protected from tampering.
  • The longevity of your cabling will be improved, resulting in less maintenance.
  • It ensures that you are compliant with any building codes and standards for underground conduits, that are in place safety and reliability reasons.

Seasonal Water lines

In Ontario, each season presents unique challenges, and not all water lines are suitable for year-round use. Fortunately, Grand Maintenance in East Garafraxa can help. We install seasonal water lines tailored for specific times of the year. When these lines are not in use, we remove and store them, ensuring they are protected and ready for future use.

Some examples of seasonal water lines are livestock water bowls, outdoor showers, events like fairs or concerts, irrigation systems or water lines to non winterized buildings or trailers.

Some key features for seasonal water lines are:

  •  They are used temporarily, when the season allows for the safe use of it.
  • The are designed to be easily installed, and easily removed. They are either dismantled or winterized at the end of the season. We winterize them by ensuring all the remaining water is drained or blown from the lines.
  •  These seasonal lines are made from durable materials like PVC or polyethylene, which allows them to be stored easily, and resistant to any temperature fluctuations which can damage other material.
  • They are easily accessible, as they are not buried deeply. This makes them very accessible for maintenance, adjustments or repair, when required
